About Me

Hello! My name is Meg and I'm a Newcastle based illustrator. Welcome to my website!

My illustration work mostly consists of stylised portraiture and character drawing using bold colours and janky lines, think old school tattoo inspired styles. My work explores personal themes such as disability and mental health, queerness and social justice issues, and I portray all of this in a way that's honest, but fun! I also make work based on my special interests, like animals and ghosts, but those are just for joy!

I create through a mixture of digital programmes and traditional work, mostly using watercolour paint and pencils to lay down colour and texture. I create work from personal experience for others to relate to, and as a means self expression, and the hope of making cool things that other people will appreciate!

I graduated with an MA in Illustration in 2025, and I'm now starting my freelance journey leading workshops and creating art for my online store. To see some of my work have a lot at the Portfolio section of my website, and for information on possible Workshops please get in touch via the Contact page above.
